What the difference of RGB, RGBW, and RGBWW

The difference between the RGB, RGBW, and RGBWW is the number and type of LEDs used.

RGB stands for red, green, and blue and prefers a type of LED Strip that uses three colors to create shades and hues. These Strips are commonly used for decorative lighting and can produce various colors.

How To Hide LED Strips On The Ceiling

LED strip lights have gained immense popularity in homes, and it’s no wonder why. These lights offer great flexibility and versatility, making them suitable for any room in your house, be it the kitchen or the bathroom. One particularly favored spot for installing LED strip lights is the ceiling, which provides a pleasant and visually appealing downward illumination, creating a cozy atmosphere. Additionally, this is an easy way to add layers of lighting to your space. Many individuals who choose to install LED strip lights on their ceilings often have similar queries, such as “How can I conceal LED strip lights on my ceiling?” and “What is the procedure for installing LED strip lights on the ceiling?”. Let’s check how to do it.

There are three methods to hide the Strip Lights on the ceiling.

Drop Down Ceiling

Drop-down ceilings known as false ceilings, are often used for decorative purposes. These ceilings are installed below the central ceiling and are typically placed in the center of a room. LED strip lights can be placed on the ceiling, creating a luxurious and dramatic lighting effect. The lights are not visible when standing beneath the ceiling, adding to the overall ambiance of the space. This type of installation can impress visitors and even increase the value of your home.

2. Suspended Ceilings

Suspended ceilings are commonly used in educational, office, and healthcare environments and come in various styles. LED strip lights are installed along a grid system and then placed on the ceiling. The grid typically has a thin metal border and is in the shape of a square.

For both installation methods, you can add our Ceiling Aluminum Light Channels behind the LED Strips, which will conceal the Strip Lights for better heat dissipation.

To hide LED strips on the ceiling, follow these steps:

Plan the layout: Determine where you want to install the LED strips on the ceiling. Consider the length and placement to achieve the desired lighting effect.
Clean the ceiling and Light Channels: Before installation, ensure the ceiling surface is clean and free of dust or debris. This will ensure proper adhesion of the LED strips.
Measure and cut the LED strips and aluminum Channels: Measure the length of the area where you want to install them and cut them accordingly. Use sharp scissors or a utility knife to make clean cuts.
Attach the LED strips to the LED Channels: Peel off the backing and carefully adhere them to the Light Channels. Press firmly to ensure good adhesion.
Install the Aluminum Channels on the ceiling: Hide the LED Channels on the ceiling. This will hide the strips and add a decorative element to the ceiling.
Paint or wallpaper: Painting or wallpapering the ceiling. This can help blend the strips into the overall design of the room.
Install a false ceiling: If you want a more seamless and professional look, consider installing a false ceiling. This involves creating a secondary ceiling below the main one and hiding the LED strips within it.

How To Prevent Dark Areas On The Corner Of Light Channels?

Two days ago, one of our customers told us that he got one issue with the ceiling lighting as the photo shows below:

The customer choose one of the recessed light channels and recessed them into the ceiling. But there is a dark area in the corner section. Not look very well. So today let us teach you how to fix it.

If there is no connector for corner installation, we will recommend our customers cut the end of 2PCS Light Channels to 45° and install them together like the photo shown below:

When you install the COB LED Strips inside the aluminum slots, please make sure to stick them to the end of the corner without a gap, the LED Strips need to be close to each other.

After installing the diffusers, no dark areas.

In general, the LED Channels always work with Flexible LED Strips or LED Modules, because the LED Strips with high heat release when working, but the base is only the thin aluminum PCB board, bad for heat dissipation and will shorten the lifespan. so that’s one of the reasons why we need to add something to help it release the heat. another reason why we need LED Channels, we could use various materials to produce the diffusers, with various rates of transmittance for different applications. the LED Channels with various lengths, widths and shapes, you can cut freely and reconnect for your project. that’s the main reason we add LED Channels, but Why Aluminum?

Why Aluminum LED Channels?

Check all factors besides thermal resistance, the best metal for conducting heat, from highest to lowest are silver, copper, gold and aluminum. copper and aluminum are the most commonly used materials for heat sinkers, but copper is more expensive than aluminum, is heavier and melts at a higher temperature, so that’s why aluminum is the most used material for LED Channels.
