Recently some customers asked to us, they ordered the Music LED Controllers from other companies before, but works not good as expected. to check with us to see if we could provide a better LED Music Controller. OK, if we see music and controller characters, we will know that they want the emitting color of the RGB LED Strips will change automatically follow the beats of music, they need one Music LED Controller that will have better performance. so we will introduce one and check how to install.

This LED Music Controlled was produced by Hoion, which is a Chinese company and focused on producing high-quality LED Controllers, LED Dimmers, Amplifiers, DMX and Dimming Drivers. the model of the Music LED Controller is HX-DA01, which with small size and comes with 24 keys RF Remote Control. with 3 or 4 output channels design and supports RGB or RGBW LED Lights, there is a button on the LED Controller, if the LED indicator light flash slowly means working in RGB model or working in RGBW model, the max output current is 5A when in RGB mode, 4A in RGBW mode. the side with a voice sensitivity dial and audio input jack, you can press the dial to adjust the sensitivity, the audio input jack allows to connect to your phone, PC or other audio devices.

How To Connect them together?

Connect the LED Strips and LED Driver to the LED Music Controller.

there are blue, green, red and white wires on the 24V RGB LED Strips, you can insert the blue wire into the “B” output port, green wire to “G” output port, red wire to “R” output port and white wire to the V+ output port.

there is a LED Indicator Light on the LED Controller, if it flashes slowly means working in RGB mode, if flashes quickly means working in RGBW mode. you can press the small round button to switch the working mode from RGB to RGBW.

On the left side there is a sensitivity adjustable dial, you can rotate it to adjust the sensitivity to music.

COB—The Future Of LED Strips?

If you are searching the LED Strips on the internet, you will find some LED Lights named COB LED Strips, so what’s COB and why we say it’s the future of LED Strips.

What is COB?

COB is the abbreviation for chip on board, which means the LED Chips were packed on the PCB board directly, not like the SMD LEDs that the LED Chips were fixed on the brackets. the COB refers to the mounting of a bare LED Chip in direct contact with a substrate to produce LED arrays, which allows for a much higher packing density of the LED array, results in higher intensity and greater uniformity of light, no light dots and dark area. can greatly reduce the footprint and energy consumption while keeping light output constant.

2. How To Produce the COB LED Strips?

when the manufacturer begins to produce the COB LED Strips, they will put the COB LEDs side by side down the center of the LED Strips, so maybe there are 320, 540, 720 or 894PCS LEDs per meter, there is a phosphor layer over the LEDs like the photo shows above. which will balance out the color temperature while also acting like a protective layer for the tiny LED Chips.

the IP rating(waterproof level) of the Waterproof LED Profile is IP67, what the IP67 mean?

because of the waterproof and dustproof and poor heat dissipation features, if the working temperature always very high but not good heat dissipation, it will speed up the oxidation of the LED Strips, which means the body of the LED Strips will become to yellow and the light will darker, will shorter the lifespan of the LED Lights. we will strongly recommend using the Silicone LED Channels in a wet, damp or water location, because in there the temperature always lower than in other places. you can use them under the cabinet, in front of a fountain, bathroom or in a swimming pool, etc. be careful to the end caps with wire holes, please ensure use the glue to make it will good sealed.

New Mini LED Dimmer With ITR Sensor Review

Today we added two new mini LED Dimmers with ITR sensor, the HX-MINI003-HS and HX-MINI003-CB, you could block the senor to turn off the LED Light or release the blocking to turn on the LED Light, both of them with the same black color and the same size, the slim size allows you to install it in a narrow or tiny place, cabinet, kitchen, furniture, mirror, etc.

the LED Mini Dimmer Controller with one output channel design, the max output current up to 6A, working in DC12V-24V, max loading power up to 144W when working in 24V DC. the Dimmers with the 1meter sensor cable and the sensor working range is 0-8cm. the difference of the dimmers is the working mode, the MINI003-CB only turns on or turns off the LED Light gradually, but the MINI003-HS with dimming function from 0.4% to 100%. so you could choose the one you want for your project.

the LED Dimmers come with one male and one female DC connectors, you could connect them to the LED Power Supply and the Single Color LED Strips to let the LED Dimmers work, easy to install and use. you can use them under the cabinet, on the furniture, etc.

How To Control The WIFI LED Controller Via Wifi?

ok, so now more and more customer like to control the LED lights via WIFI, so can control them very convenience. but still some customers not sure how to connect the wifi LED controller to WIFI devices, so today let’s check it.

1）first, you need one electronic device with a wifi function.

2)the package with CD, so first need to load the software from the CD, it includes software for android, so copy it to your device and install it, if IOS, just download the software from APP store, the APP name is “freecolor”.

3)if more than one wifi device in a very close area, need to reset the SSID for the devices in order to avoid jamming each other. the SSID is 16 max. the default SSID number is HX001, the SSID range is HX001 to HX016

1.ensure the wifi controller connected, then open the power.

2.open the wifi device browser,input the address”192.168.2.2″,then click enter button:

3.input the user name and password, the username and password is “admin”

4.select the “security mode” WEP64

5.type 10 hexadecimal ASCII codes into “key index 0”, which corresponding to five characters, and it will be linking password, the common hexadecimal ASCII code as below:

3>the wifi software is 3-in-1(DIMM, CT, RGB)，so you need to select the right version first. enter the “system setting” page to change the selection. Custom DAS installation is your perfect wireless solution.
