What Are Baseboard LED Channels?
Baseboard LED channels are specifically designed to be installed along the bottom of walls, where the wall meets the floor. In place of traditional base molding trims, they allow you to integrate strip lights to provide downward indirect lighting that delivers smooth, uniform illumination on the floor, enhancing aesthetics and safety.
They are also known as skirting board LED profiles and are crafted from high-quality aluminum alloy with a professional finish. They can accommodate and conceal the flexible strip lights and also serve as heat sinks to improve heat dissipation and extend LED light lifespan. The diffused covers distribute light evenly, creating a soft glow that extends downward along the bottom edges of the walls and floors to enhance safety and ambiance, with no glare or hotspots.
Benefits:
1. Dual function: Baseboard trims + lighting: Serves as protective and decorative baseboard trims and delivers smooth, uniform illumination on the floor.2. Soft, Glare-Free Floor-Level Light: The diffusers spread the light evenly and eliminate LED dots, delivering a smooth, uniform glow. Create a soft floating effect along the walls, adding depth and a modern aesthetic to your room.
3. Improves Safety: Gently illuminates floors, hallways, and staircases, which will help prevent trips and falls in low-light conditions.
4. Durable & Protective: The aluminum body protects LED strip lighting from dust, moisture, and physical damage, and works as a heat sink for better heat dissipation
Applications:
With their low-level, glare-free light output, the baseboard LED profiles are suitable for residential and commercial interiors:
- Living rooms & bedrooms: Add a soft floor glow for modern ambiance at home.
- Hallways & corridors: Provide subtle guidance lighting that doubles as a design accent.
- Staircases: Improve safety with gentle illumination along steps and landings.
- Hotel & guest rooms: Create an upscale, welcoming feel with hidden lighting.
- Bathrooms & wardrobes: Deliver comfortable nighttime lighting without harsh glare.
- Offices & retail: Define floor lines and pathways with clean, continuous light.
How To Install?
Tools & materials needed: Measuring tape, miter saw or backsaw, level, screws/adhesive, LED strips, power supply, wires, connectors, and others.
1. Measure the length of the walls, plan the layout, including corners, joints, and power supply location.
2. Cut the aluminum channels: Use a miter saw or hacksaw to cut them to the desired lengths. Miter the ends to 45 degree for corner installation.
